Karen Wesley is an accomplished financial executive with over 35 years of experience in leading financial operations, strategic planning, revenue cycle, and internal control management across a diverse range of sectors, including healthcare, government, and nonprofit organizations. With a proven track record of optimizing financial performance and developing long-term strategies, she has a strong reputation for aligning financial goals with organizational growth, sustainability, and risk mitigation.
Prior to joining TASC she worked at ACCESS Community Health Network for 14 years and has demonstrated expertise in managing multi-million-dollar budgets, enhancing financial reporting processes, and executing audits to ensure regulatory compliance. She has successfully led large-scale fiscal initiatives, such as the preparation and management of a $136 million annual operational and capital budget and have spearheaded projects to improve grant cash flow by 100%. Her leadership in risk management and internal controls has consistently resulted in zero material findings during annual audits over the last ten years.
Adept at guiding high-performing teams, she has mentored staff and collaborated across departments to implement process improvements, such as the integration of the Coupa Spend Management System and Workday Adaptive Planning. Her consulting work with healthcare organizations, nonprofits, and government agencies has helped clients optimize financial processes, improve risk management, and achieve compliance with federal and state regulations.
She holds a Master of Science in Accounting from Governors State University. She is also skilled in a wide range of financial software, including EPIC Electronic Health Records, and Microsoft Office 365 tools. She continues to bring a wealth of experience and strategic insight to help organizations thrive in an increasingly complex financial environment.
