Claudia P. Chévez brings over 30 years of leadership and advocacy for youth involved in the juvenile justice system. As Youth & Family Services Administrator for Area 1 (Cook County), she oversees a range of programs — including Juvenile Justice Services, the TASC Reporting Center, and the Teen Parent Program — delivering critical support to youth and families from all backgrounds.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Claudia holds a BSW, CADC, and CODP I certification, and has provided expert training to agencies such as the Cook County Sheriff’s Department, Illinois DCFS, and Chicago Public Schools. She played a key role in preserving CARF and DASA accreditation for TASC’s Juvenile Justice Services division and has led major communications initiatives to raise awareness of youth services.
Claudia’s commitment has earned her statewide recognition from IADDA and multiple awards from organizations including the Gateway Foundation and Chicago Board of Education. Through her expertise, innovation, and dedication, she continues to make a lasting impact on youth and families across Cook County.
