IHDA Reentry Rental Assistance
The IHDA Reentry Rental Assistance program provides rental assistance to eligible individuals returning to the community from the Illinois Department of Corrections. The program helps participants obtain and maintain safe, stable, independent housing following release.
TASC’s Housing Division manages housing and rental assistance, including housing search and placement, landlord coordination, and rental subsidy administration.
- Participants who have an income contribute the required portion toward their housing costs. IHDA rental assistance covers the remaining eligible amount.
Simultaneously, TASC’s Community Reentry Division provides Specialized Case Management and supportive services to help participants navigate reentry and build stability in the community.
The program’s goal is to remove housing barriers to successful reentry by providing rental assistance and supportive services that help participants secure and maintain housing and build a stable life in the community.
