Dear Friends,
As we all are confronting the impact of COVID-19, TASC
remains committed to serving our clients across Illinois. We currently are continuing
to provide services both in communities and in our TASC locations throughout
the state, while also reinforcing critical measures to maintain the health and
safety of our staff, clients, and colleagues.
We know that social isolation can be devastating for people
struggling with substance use disorders, for those in unsafe or unstable living
situations, and for those working to maintain their recovery. We are resolved
to be present and supportive for our clients, and for one another. What that presence
looks like may evolve as the changing external circumstances allow; for
example, we are augmenting our use of telehealth services so that we can
continue to provide case management, outpatient treatment, and critical client
advocacy and support.
Each day, we continue to monitor guidelines from the Illinois Department of Public Health
and the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention, and we will continue to adapt our
practices as needed in this quickly changing situation.
We are deeply grateful to our staff and supporters for
remaining committed, flexible, caring, and compassionate as we advocate for
individuals and families who face many vulnerabilities and uncertainties,
even more so now than before.
We are in this together, and we will emerge from this
together as well. One day at a time.
Sincerely,
Pam Rodriguez
TASC President and CEO
